One of my favorite places in Austin. Only wish I had known about this growing up! The most I've spent at once was $60. On $600+ worth of art supplies meant for a room-sized art project. Mind. Blown!

A unique spot with an extensive array of recycled items for projects, sewing, crafting, arting, and more.
They have some building materials, but very limited, better off at Habitat for Humanity ReStore for that.
Also, no clothing, go to a regular thrift shop for that.
There are limited electrical items, puzzles, random puzzle pieces, and an occasional lock pick set, soldering iron, or additional weird items around. Lots of little plastic boxes to store items in, including old 35mm film cases.
Most of these items are very inexpensive. A good place to look for projects of many types.
Super cute place. A gem for the Austin creative community! You can donate almost any of your craft things here too which is a huge relief for me!
Amazing selection of potential project items. God bless the staff for organizing everything in ways that make so much sense. Signs everywhere for most questions you'd have while looking at fabric or whatever object.
The entire space is a treasure trove for a person’s imagination. The effort and time volunteers and staff put into organizing supplies allows shoppers to find exactly what they didn’t know they needed. I highly recommend a visit (or many)!
Now understand that this place is slightly organized chaos but if you are willing to ride the rollercoaster you can find great things.
I needed pieces of fabric to make some stuff but only needed less than a yard. I got tons of pieces that will do what I need for less that 15 dollars
I’ve recently picked up sewing and the Creative Reuse Center has been a great place to pick up fabric to practice on. Having cheap fabric available to me has lowered he barrier to entry for me, especially because I was a bit overwhelmed when I visited a fabric store.
This place is so cool - with new donations coming in all the time and a really generous definition of what counts as a "creative" item you never know what sort of interesting things you'll find here. Fabric, thread, beads, drawing pencils, little decorative birds, odd glass bottles, storage containers.... You never know what will spark inspiration or what great deal you'll find.
I absolutely love this store. When I visit my granddaughter in Colorado there’s a small reuse store that only deals with sewing. But this Austin store has anything you can imagine!
Very cool art supply store and more. Almost everything is used but we'll sorted a very cheap. A muat for crafters on a budget or don't want to pay full price
